Monday Night Beardown!!!

Wow what a game Bears score on seven possessions almost 500 yards of offense and get a much needed win.

Josh Cool was a maestro under center great throws and cool under pressure. Matt Forte 102 yards on the ground and 73 yards receiving with a TD. Brandon Marshall wow what blocks he made as well as catching some some key third downs he was in full beast mode. The man, the myth, the future Ashlon Jeffery what a TD catch before the half snatching the ball out the air like its mine don't sweat it. Ashlon Jeffery played a great game as did the entire offense.

The defense well they played the pass better than the run made stops when they had to. The defense didn't create any turnovers really didn't have to with the  offense running on all cylinders. Pass rush was lukewarm but there when needed.

Cowboys let the weather get to them as game went on and had a few injuries. The Cowboys running game was only highlight of the night for their offense.

Overall great win tied for first now need to win two of last three and the Lions to continue their losing ways.

I predict Bears in playoffs!!!

Bears Rundown 12/1/13

My father once told me to finish what you start well I started a sports blog so its time to blog. The Bears obviously don’t follow that mantra with their play the last three weeks. The once Achilles heal the offense is now the strength of the team. The Monsters of the Midway on defense are no longer they have more holes than a Chicago Alderman explaining his role in a bribery scandal.

The issue I have is with the coaching I know Trestman is in his first year but no excuse he should have a better sense of how to win a game especially with a dynamic offense. Josh McCown has given you more than enough in a relief role and should have started the Detroit game in Chicago which was a must win since you lost to them in Detroit. The riverboat gambler mentality of the coach is admirable but there is a time and he has gone rogue once to often. The Vikings game was a great example of when he should’ve rolled the dice more with Forte running wild and Jeffery catching everything thrown his way today the coach went conservative when it mattered most. Robbie Gould is usually solid but why not run one more play in overtime get him closer to kick the field goal and get out with a much needed win.

The Bears must now win out and hope for some help from other teams the same game plan as the last two years. This is getting old and the team is not getting younger so Trestman learn from your mistakes and take a page from Kenny Roger’s song the Gambler “Know when to hold em and know when to fold em”.

My prediction Bears 9-7 and at home watching the playoffs. Hope they prove me wrong.
